We have released a novel tool for peptide MALDI imaging data that allows to re-calibrate SCiLS files.
The tool implements the approach from the recently published a paper on recalibration of peptide MALDI imaging data:
Boskamp T, Lachmund D, Casadonte R, Hauberg-Lotte L, Kobarg JH, Kriegsmann J, Maass P. Using the chemical noise background in MALDI mass spectrometry imaging for mass alignment and calibration. Anal Chem. 2019 Dec 3. doi: 10.1021/acs.analchem.9b04473.
The tool only works on peptide data measured on axial TOF instruments. It is available to all users of SCiLS Lab and SCiLS Lab MVS and can be downloaded at:
Download requires an account on http://www.bruker.com. The download is a zip file which contains a small .exe file and a readme.txt file where the usage is described.
If you have any problems with SCiLS Lab or questions on data analysis please don’t hesitate to contact our software support team at email@example.com.
