SCiLS Lab Core licenses are perpetual licenses, meaning that their validity is unlimited. With SCiLS Lab Core you have access to the essential visualization and processing tools.
SCiLS Lab Pro and SCiLS Lab Premium 3D are annual subscription licenses that offer advanced processing and analysis features, and new visualizations respectively. Access to the features are automatically revoked at the end of the subscription period.
SCiLS regularly develops new versions of our products, which contain significant new features, functions, and productivity improvements. With an annual subscription you have direct access to the new features.
A SCiLS Lab Core license grants you complementary access to SCiLS Cloud and benefit from the distributed workflows. With either SCiLS Lab Pro or Premium 3D you gain preferred access to SCiLS Cloud like additional storage capacity.

Your installed SCiLS Lab will automatically check for and inform you about new updates. If you want to update manually, then you can download and install the following files.
For all SCiLS Lab versions the following system requirements apply:
- Intel® Core™ i7 processor or Intel® Xeon® processor (equivalent or better)
- Microsoft® Windows® 7 64 Bit or Microsoft® Windows® 10 64 Bit operating system
- 32 GB of RAM
- SATA III SSD
- Full-HD display (1920 x 1080)
- Graphics card supporting OpenGL 3.2
The SSD should be used to host the SCiLS Lab .sl files. The best way to improve the recommended system is to add more RAM and a RAID0 configuration of SATA III SSDs. The data which shall be imported or processed should then be stored on the SSD(s).
